Overview
Little Brevort Lake is located just 20 minutes west of the Mackinac Bridge on Highway U.S. #2. This beautiful little lake is completely surrounded by state land and no public land is owned here. You won’t find a home here, only raw nature at it’s finest. A small state park campground is located on the north side of the lake, the north side being accessed by the Worth Rd. A 3 1/2/ mile hiking trail called the Switchback is accessed by both sides and leads you through a forest of hundreds of varieties of plants and trees, through a sand dune area and connects to Big Brevort Lake. A hearty hike, but one you won’t soon forget. Some of my greatest childhood & family memories are from fishing, skating, snowmobiling and picnicking on this quiet little lake. The State recently closed the south entrance to Little Brevort Lake State Park, a mile or so east of the village but it is still accessible and a beautiful area to explore. Maybe they’ll turn it back over to the county or township.
