East Lake
Overview
This 1000 acre lake is located 25 miles north of the Mackinac Bridge between trout lake and Moran. It’s 80% federally owned and fairly shallow with some depths up to 18 ft. There is good fishing with many varieties being caught including largemouth bass, Perch, & northern pike. There is great snowmobiling and hiking nearby with thousands of acres of Federal land in the area. This area is part of the Niagara Escarpment and features the North Country Hiking Trail system as well as other great hiking trails along the Niagara Escarpment ledge.
